Week Plateaued!

Happy Friday!!  After work, had my appointment and then came home to cook, freshen up, and now ready for bed.  I spend my Friday night cooking my meals for the weekend...that's dedication right there! haha.  My food for the weekend includes salmon, tilapia, chicken breasts, baked asparagus, hard boiled eggs and quinoa. Fresh, quick, and healthy! Anyways, have a great weekend everyone!

Weighed in: 108.9 pounds!

Finally broke the plateau after my apple day--getting into the 108!!  I was stuck in the 109 range for a week which was disappointing for me since I was dropping almost a pound everyday the first week! I don't know exactly why I was stuck in the 109's for the longest time but I think it was due to my monthly menstrual cycle.  Previous times when I have done Slenderiix (11 days and 7 days), I made sure to do it around my monthly cycle, but since I am doing a full 30 days, I didn't know how my body was going to adjust to it.  We shall see how my next week goes and if I'm able to drop almost a pound a day, then I believe it had to do with my body personally.
For breakfast, I had my usual cup of Cherrios and Organic rice milk, along with an apple, and a bottle of water with Restoriix.  For lunch I had napa cabbage with quinoa&grilled chicken, and seaweed (only 45 calories a pack!).  I also had an apple to go along with it.
Maybe I was still full from the lunch, but I was not hungry after work.  I was busy running errands & had an appointment to attend so all I had for dinner was an apple and a cup of Organic rice milk, which was enough to satisfy me that evening!

Apple Day!
Weighed in:
Since being stuck and plateauing in the 109 range, I finally decided to do an apple day to see if I can break this plateau.  All I had today was 5 apples and tons of water (I drank at least 112oz of water )!  Surprisingly the apples were able to keep me full throughout the entire day + the water kept me hydrated although I urinated at least 9x that day! LOL
When I got home, I had my apple and made lunch for Thursday & Friday.
Napa cabbage/Bok Choy with quinoa + grilled chicken.

Weighed in:
Sad I was only able to drop .1 pounds.  I'm not exactly sure why I was only able to drop that much.
Had my usual breakfast.
Lunch&Dinner: Bok Choy + Quinoa.  I decided to cut out chicken or fish for the day to see how my body adjust to it.  Quinoa is a complete protein anyways.

The Boyfriend was hungry so I decided to make it a vegan day for both of us.  Just made a quick plate of bok choy, tomatoes, and eggs over quinoa dinner for him.  He devoured the entire plate in like 5 minutes.  Either he was really hungry or it was really good, or maybe both :)

Weighed in:
Happy Monday! Back to work again after a super fast weekend.  I didn't have lunch prepared so I just had a Peach Purenourish and an apple.  Coming home from work, I was hungry and decided to put something together fast.  I had left over grilled chicken so I just tossed some over a bed of salad.  Quick, fast, and simple yet still fulfilling!  I also made some lunch & dinner for the next day and decided to keep it vegan friendly.  Just some quinoa and baby bok choy!

Sunday September 23rd, 2012
After a night of hanging out with good friend, woke up and immediately got ready to have lunch before going to Lexus Dealership for a car meet + BF's car photoshoot.  Totally forgot to take a picture of my weight unfortunately :(

Anyways, we met up with Mr. EK for lunch at Arigatos.  I had fresh sashimi and when I asked them to sear it, they said it would be an extra $1 charge..even with the sashimi slightly seared...it wasn't a pleasant lunch which left me a little disappointed (Sapporo's seared sashimi was amazing and Arigato's just couldn't compare to it!).  I didn't eat raw before, but I'm trying to open up my taste & texture buds so I ended up eating ginger with the sashimi (which that too, I never eat before!)  The BF had mixed tempura with a Don Buri (I thik that's what you call it...but it's eel) over rice.
After lunch, we headed to the Lexus Dealership for a car meet and after we went to Sacramento State to do the car photoshoot.
Just a quick shot of the cars the BF + friends were shooting with: Nissan GTR, Audi R8, and Cadillac XLR.
After shooting at Sac State we went to another location to shoot in the Greenhaven area.
After that, we went to Starbucks to handle business then took my little sister out to eat.  Dinner at Chevy's.  The little sister had chicken quesadilla while the boyfriend had some jalapeno steak tacos.  Me on the other hand, I had a Peach Pure Nourish shake and an apple. =)

Weighed in:  I gained .3 pounds from Friday's weigh in and this was due to eating while I was cooking so late at night!  Slenderiix recommends to not eat after 7:30...BUT the food smelt soo good that I couldn't resist snacking while I was cooking..lol.  Just munched on quinoa and some cat fish here and there but again, the Slenderiix is sensitive.  Eating so late at night doesn't allow the body to fully digest the food.  So this was definitely my fault.
Had our morning trainings and then hung around for a bit.  Later in the evening we went to our friend's Rodger house to celebrate his birthday.  Hope you had a good one! =)

Friday, September 21st, 2012 Continued:
Had my appointment after work so I made sure my dinner was packed and ready to eat while I waited to go in.  After getting home, I had to pack for Sacramento but also decided to make my meals for the weekend.  Lots of greens, catfish fillet, quinoa, and apples.  Also packed my Peach Pure Nourish, Organic rice milk, some dill pickles, and of course, can't for get my supplements.  After everything was ready to go, didn't get to Sacramento till 1:30am.  Definitely a long day and was ready to knock out.

Down Six, Fourteen More To Go!

It's been a week and it's CRAZY how fast time flies!!
In the past week, I was able to drop 6 pounds on Slenderiix.
I'm a quarter way there but this is just the beginning! =)
Friday, September 21st:
Weighed in:
Yet another busy Friday, but will be heading to a meeting after work and then off to Sacramento again.
My week has been super busy but nonetheless productive!

Thursday, September 20th:
I weighed in at 110.7 pounds this morning.
After a day of plateau, it's a good feeling to see the product to continue working its magic.
After getting home from work & a meeting at 9:45 pm, I made some dinner and lunch for Friday.
For dinner I had salad topped with egg whites + catfish & quinoa and half an apple + a cup of organic rice milk!

Wednesday, September 19th:
I weighed in at 111.0 this morning.  Hitting a plateau but I believe it was due to eating Tilapia at BJS with a tomatoes sauce that probably had sugar.  Goes to show how reactive this product is. No Sugar! Sugar will stop Slenderiix.
After work today, I went to Costco to stock up on some goodies..as you can tell what stocked up on, haha.  If you know me, I don't past up good deals or discounts when I see them.
The organic quinoa bags are usually $10 and they were priced at $8.  Yes, that might not seem like a big difference, but in our household, quinoa is a staple instead of the typical rice.  Plus, quinoa is a healthier alternative and good source of protein anyways.  Picked up 3 cases of organic rice milk, catfish fillet, salad bag, and some organic roasted chestnuts.  Healthy overall? Definitely yes!
For dinner, I just had my packed quinoa, napa cabbage, and grilled chicken from the night before and just tossed some diced tomatoes and jalapenos on top.

Tuesday, September 18th
Weighed in at 111.1.  I was surprise to drop a pound despite having some hotpot the night before.

After work, I met up with the BF and a couple friends.  We had dinner at BJS.  My meal came with rice pilaf, but I did without and just ate the tilapia and salad.  My BF on the other hand had a Great White Pizza which he shared with our friends.
After getting home from dinner, I made lunch for the following day; made grilled chicken, seasoned with black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic and napa cabbage with quinoa.  Simple and healthy but still delicious.
Earlier in the day, my hun sent me a picture of my blooming roses.  Aren't they gorgeous?!

Monday, September 17th
Weighed in:
After a fun filled weekend in Sacramento, it was back to work in the bay area.
During my lunch break, since it was a quick meal: Peach Pure Nourish (certified meal replacement), I decided to get some sunshine and vitamin D.  Took a 25 minute stroll along a trail near work.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day.  Definitely taking advantage of the beautiful weather while it lasts.
After work, I met  up with BF and we went to have some Mongolian Hot Pot at Little Sheep.
All I had were mushrooms, fish fillets, and some slices of lamb marinated in red wine.  I guess you would consider this a little cheating, but I think I did fairly well.  After dinner, the BF wanted to get some sweets so we stopped by a boba shop.  Staying committed as I am, he had a taro shake and me, an apple and water :)

 Sunday, September 16th:
Weighed in:
Got ready for a fun filled day with some of our friends to go river rafting down the American River in Sacramento.  The weather couldn't have been more perfect.  Hot weather + chilly water=balanced.
We all definitely had a great time floating down the river, having water wars with fellow random rafters, jumping off cliffs, rope swinging, and bonding with each other.  Great experience for the books.

After we got done rafting, we all went to a local family joint, Leatherby's where many of enjoyed the delicious food and of course the ice cream.  Since being on Slenderiix, it doesn't mean you cannot eat out, you just have to be wise on the food selection you get.  I got a Potpourri salad which included lettuce spring mix, 100% crab, tuna, and eggs while the BF has his special black & tan mixed with Marie's sundae.
Haha, you can definitely tell who's the healthy one.  ;)

Saturday, September 15th:
Weighed in: the first pound dropped!
Visited our local friends at TNT Auto Body in the morning.  After taking care of some business there, went to have lunch at Macau Restaurant (Chinese fused with Portuguese).
Lunch was delish & very simple...I had my packed lunch that I finished making at 2am that morning: quinoa, okra, and salmon; while the BF got his shrimp/eggs over rice.

Later that evening, we met up with some of our friends for dinner at Sapporo.
Good Company + Sushi + planning the future= <3
Of course I didn't have any sushi, but with a special request, one of the owner made me a plate of seared tuna, albacore, and salmon himself.  I use to hate eating raw, but I have been opening up my taste buds to it and it was soooo good!  It was a great evening with even greater people!

Friday, September 14th: My weigh in:
First official Slenderiix day after my loading phase and I was already put to the test.  At lunch, we had a pizza party but of course I didn't have any.  It was some legit Italian Pizza company and the smell was just amazing but I didn't give in.  I told myself there's always going to be temptation, the sooner I satisfy and complete this program, I can reward myself anytime.  After work, I had a meeting to attend and when that was done, I headed home to pack for Sacramento.  Busy day but rewarding at the same time.

No more sweets for this major sweet tooth!
My final sweet was Halo Halo (A Filipino dessert with ube ice cream!)

As I weighed in after dinner, I'm already looking forward to my results!

There are 3 phases to our program:
Phase 1 (Loading) is the first two days of the protocol.
Phase 2 (Rapid Weight loss) lasts from 30 to 120 days, depending on weight
loss goals.
Phase 3 (Maintenance)

I definitely loaded up on my sugar, carbs, and fat.  The reasons we "load up" the first two days is so that the Slenderiix can go through your system and find out where your fat storage is, so that beginning on the the third day, when you go into the rapid weight loss phases, the Slenderiix will go to these certain areas and utilizes the stored fat and burn it as energy.  Official start of Slenderiix has begun!!  Excited to see my results after 30 days!

Aside from starting Slenderiix, I came home to a sweet surprise after work!
Small gestures wins a ladies' heart, so fellahs, take notes! ;)
Thank you hun for the roses! <3

To New Beginnings.

My very first blog post.
Never Forget. Today is the 11th year anniversary of 9/11.  We remember.  God Bless.

And as I sit here and reflect, this year by far, has been one big emotional roller coaster full of challenges and struggles, but I am definitely thankful to be living.  This year has really put me to the test physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.  As I am still currently facing challenges, I decided to give myself a fresh start that will begin with ME. To begin, I will embark on a documented thirty day journey to start being in the best shape of my life physically and mentally. Along the way, I would also like to share anything note-worthy :)
And so it begins! Life is too precious, do not destroy it!

Tonight I begin with mentality.
